The goals of the Expert Consultation were to advise FAO on the development and implementation of a global record of fishing vessels and to respond to the request from FAOs Committee on Fisheries to further develop the concept as described in the feasibility study. A comprehensive global record, a potential additional tool to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, is envisioned as a global database gathering data from many sources in one location.

This annual survey contains data on pulp and paper capacity and production by country and by grade, based on data received from 36 countries representing approximately 80 per cent of the world production of paper and paperboard.
The paper summarizes the major nutritional pathologies which have been reported in farmed fish. Morphological signs of nutrient deficiency and toxicity are presented and discussed under the following headings, 1) disorders in protein, lipid, mineral and vitamin nutrition, 2) endogenous anti-nutritional factors present in plant foodstuffs, and 3) adventitious toxic factors present in foodstuffs.
