Tetela Del Volcán

The book follows the restoration process of the mural paintings of the former Dominican convent of San Juan Bautista located in Tetela del Volcán (state of Morelos, México) and part of the restoration project coordinated by the author in 1994. The religious complex was finished in 1581 under the supervision of Fray Juan de la Cruz, while the cloister was constructed in the 17th century and decorated with representations of the Virgin and saints and scenes of Jesus life apparently inspired in European prints. The second part of the edition is a photographic registry of the restoration aspects of the surviving mural paintings in the cloister and some rooms.
